Stories have always been one of the most powerful ways people make sense of new ideas. Story Machine Studio Learning Lab is where we explore how generative AI can bring that power to learning: shaping stories around specific learning objectives and tailoring them to the people who need them. We bring together research on how narrative supports comprehension, memory, and engagement with hands-on experimentation, so our ideas are grounded in evidence rather than hype.
Our work is part research, part workshop. We design experiments, build prototypes, and test what actually helps people learn. Several of those ideas are taking shape now, and we’ll be releasing some of them later this year. We believe the best use of AI in education is thoughtful, purposeful, and measured by learning, not novelty.
